Fitness is no longer defined by six-pack abs or perfectly sculpted physiques alone. Today, it's just as much about resilience, discipline, confidence, and living a healthier lifestyle. That evolving definition took center stage as Century Tuna Superbods 2026 officially introduced its Top 40 finalists, marking the beginning of what the brand calls the "Superbod Era."
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the country's longest-running fitness competition is embracing a more inclusive vision of wellness, proving that becoming a Superbod is about personal transformation as much as physical fitness.
Century Tuna Superbods Enters a New Era
Hundreds of aspiring contenders from across the Philippines joined this year's search, but only the most outstanding advanced to the highly anticipated Final Callback.
During the event, the selected semi-finalists showcased not only their physiques but also the personal stories, determination, and advocacy that define today's modern fitness journey.
Hosted by 2018 Century Tuna Superbods Grand Winner Maureen Montagne and radio personality KC Montero, the callback highlighted contestants whose experiences reflected perseverance, self-improvement, and holistic wellness rather than appearance alone.
The shift signals a new chapter for the competition, where strength of character, healthy living, and authenticity are celebrated alongside physical transformation.
Redefining What It Means to Be a Superbod
One of the biggest changes introduced in the Superbod Era is its broader and more inclusive definition of fitness.
This year's competition welcomed participants from diverse backgrounds, body types, professions, and life stages, reinforcing the message that wellness is a journey open to everyone.
Among this year's inspiring hopefuls were:
- Contestants returning for their second, third, and even fourth attempt
- Mothers rediscovering themselves through fitness and healthy living
- Fathers balancing parenting with personal wellness goals
- Families competing together, including parent-and-child tandems
- Fitness coaches stepping onto a national stage
- Professional models and celebrities pursuing their Superbods dream
- Transgender men joining the competition for the first time
- Older participants proving that healthy living has no age limit
The diverse lineup reflects how the country's fitness culture continues to evolve beyond traditional beauty standards.
A Competition That Celebrates Holistic Wellness
Rather than focusing solely on physical appearance, finalists were evaluated on several key qualities throughout the callback event.
The judging panel included executives from Century Pacific Food Inc., actress and fitness advocate Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and former Century Tuna Superbods Grand Winners Jules Aquino and Christelle Abello.
Their assessments reflected the competition's expanded vision of recognizing well-rounded individuals who inspire others to embrace healthier lifestyles.
Century Tuna Reinforces Its Wellness Mission
According to Carlo Endaya, Vice President, General Manager, and Group Business Head of Century Pacific Food Inc., the competition's mission remains focused on inspiring Filipinos to become the best versions of themselves.
"Every edition, the Superbods competition evolves, but our core mission remains unchanged—to inspire Filipinos to unlock the healthiest, most vibrant versions of themselves. As we stepped into the 'Superbod Era,' we celebrate health as a powerful life stage where passion, dedication, and holistic wellness came together."
He added that the stories shared during the Final Callback demonstrated how today's generation views health as a lifelong commitment rather than simply a fitness goal.

The launch of the Superbod Era reflects changing attitudes toward fitness, where mental resilience, inclusivity, consistency, and purpose are valued just as much as physical transformation.
As the countdown to the grand finale begins, this year's finalists represent a new generation of Filipinos proving that there is no single path, body type, or age that defines a healthy lifestyle. Instead, the Superbod journey is about becoming the strongest version of yourself, inside and out.
