Century Tuna Superbods Names Top 40 Finalists for 2026

Monday, August 10, 2026

Century Tuna Superbods 2026 Top 40 finalists at the Superbod Era launch

The Century Tuna Superbods competition has entered its final stretch with 40 finalists competing for the title in its 20th anniversary edition.

The Top 40 were introduced during the #SuperbodEra launch, where the finalists presented not only their fitness journeys but also the health and wellness causes they support. The competition is positioning the finalists as advocates for healthier lifestyles, with topics ranging from accessible nutrition and mental wellness to physical training.

What is the Superbod Era?

The Superbod Era is Century Tuna's 2026 campaign for its Superbods competition, which marks the event's 20th year.

Rather than focusing only on physique, this year's competition puts greater emphasis on the stories and personal advocacies of its finalists. The candidates come from different professions, life stages and backgrounds, with each bringing a personal reason for pursuing health and fitness.

The approach reflects a broader idea of wellness: physical conditioning is only one part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Nutrition, mental well-being, consistency and personal motivation also influence how people pursue their health goals.

Why are the finalists' stories part of the competition?

The finalists have undergone activities, workshops and wellness challenges since the callback stage. These activities are intended to prepare them for the responsibilities associated with representing the Superbods platform.

At the launch, the contestants discussed their individual health and wellness advocacies. Some focus on making nutrition more accessible, while others promote mental wellness or physical training.

For viewers, these stories provide a more personal dimension to a competition traditionally associated with fitness and physique.

Anne Curtis joins the finalists for the 20th anniversary

Century Tuna brand ambassador Anne Curtis also attended the launch and spoke about the evolution of the Superbods platform.

Curtis has been associated with Century Tuna for several years and highlighted the personal stories behind the contestants as one of the elements that makes the competition meaningful.

The 2026 edition places those stories at the center as the finalists prepare for the final stage of the competition.

How much can the Century Tuna Superbods winners receive?

The financial prizes increase the stakes as the competition moves toward Finals Night.

The Male Grand Winner and Female Grand Winner will each receive ₱1 million. Each of the Runners-Up will receive ₱250,000.

Beyond the cash prizes, the finalists are competing for the opportunity to become representatives of the Century Tuna Superbods platform and its focus on health and wellness.

What happens next?

The Top 40 finalists will continue their journey toward the grand finals through additional activities and digital activations.

Century Tuna is also encouraging the public to follow the contestants' stories and vote for their preferred finalists as Finals Night approaches.

The competition's format makes audience participation part of the buildup, giving followers an opportunity to become involved beyond simply watching the finalists' physical transformations.

Why does Century Tuna Superbods still matter after 20 years?

The longevity of Superbods reflects the continuing popularity of fitness and wellness competitions in Philippine popular culture.

However, the 20th-anniversary edition is also arriving at a time when conversations around wellness increasingly extend beyond appearance. Nutrition, mental health, physical activity and sustainable lifestyle habits are now commonly discussed as interconnected aspects of well-being.

For the contestants, that means the competition provides a platform not only to demonstrate physical conditioning but also to communicate why health matters to them personally.

That distinction is central to this year's Superbod Era: a fit body may attract attention, but the story and purpose behind it give the competition its broader message.

The Superbod Era moves toward Finals Night

Century Tuna Superbods 2026 has moved into its final phase with 40 finalists representing different backgrounds and approaches to health and fitness.

As the competition heads toward Finals Night, the focus will remain on both the contestants' physical preparation and the personal advocacies they have brought to the stage. The eventual winners will take home ₱1 million each, but the larger campaign aims to encourage Filipinos to view wellness as something that can begin at any stage of life.

Over October Announces Biggest Concert at New Frontier

Friday, August 7, 2026

One of the Philippines' most beloved alternative pop bands is preparing for a milestone that marks both a celebration and a farewell. Over October has announced its biggest headline concert to date, scheduled for October 4, 2026, at the New Frontier Theater, where fans will witness the final performance of the band's original five-member lineup.

The concert comes as drummer Janessa "Janae" Geronimo prepares to leave the group after more than a decade, closing a chapter that helped shape Over October's rise from an independent act to one of the country's most recognizable names in alternative pop.

Why is this concert significant?

Unlike a typical headline show, Over October Live at the New Frontier Theater carries added emotional weight.

The performance will serve as the band's farewell tribute to Geronimo, making it the last official concert featuring the founding lineup before the group enters a new phase.

In a statement, the band acknowledged that while they are optimistic about their respective futures, saying goodbye to a longtime bandmate remains difficult.

The members shared that although their professional paths are changing, the friendships built over the past 12 years remain intact. They also admitted that the creative direction of the band after Geronimo's departure is still evolving, with their current focus firmly on delivering memorable performances for fans.

A band shaped by more than streaming numbers

Since forming more than a decade ago, Over October has built a loyal following through emotionally driven songwriting and intimate live performances.

Songs like Ikot have helped introduce the band's music to wider audiences, while sold-out concerts and strong streaming numbers have cemented their place in today's OPM scene.

Yet, according to the band, career milestones are only part of their story.

Rather than defining success through chart performance or ticket sales alone, the members say the memories created with one another and with their fans have become the most meaningful part of their journey.

That sentiment forms the heart of the upcoming concert, which looks back on the band's first 12 years while acknowledging that the next chapter will inevitably be different.

Lineup changes are common in long-running bands, but they often mark important turning points in a group's creative evolution.

A founding member contributes not only to a band's sound but also to its chemistry, songwriting process, and identity on stage. While many bands successfully continue after personnel changes, farewell performances often become meaningful moments for fans who have followed the group's journey from the beginning.

For Over October, the New Frontier Theater concert offers an opportunity to celebrate the music created by its original lineup before embracing future changes.

Building toward the band's biggest headline show

The announcement follows several successful live milestones for the group, including two sold-out performances at the Music Museum and its well-received anniversary concert at MOA Sky in 2025.

Moving to the larger New Frontier Theater reflects the band's growing audience and continued popularity within the Philippine live music scene.

The venue has hosted many of the country's leading OPM artists, making it a fitting stage for one of Over October's most significant performances.

Ticket information

Tickets for Over October Live at the New Frontier Theater will be available through TicketNet.

Ticket selling schedule

Pre-sale: August 15–22, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
General sale: Starts August 23, 2026

The concert is presented by Over October in partnership with GNN, Move It, and Swee Lee Philippines.

Over October's upcoming concert is more than another stop on the band's touring calendar. It represents the closing of a defining era for one of the country's respected alternative pop acts while offering fans the chance to celebrate the music and memories created by the original lineup.

As Filipino bands continue to evolve alongside an increasingly vibrant OPM scene, moments like these remind audiences that lasting success is built not only on hit songs but also on the relationships forged between artists and the communities that support them.

When Over October takes the stage at the New Frontier Theater this October, it will be performing not only its biggest concert yet but also one of its most personal.

For longtime fans, the show promises an evening of nostalgia, gratitude, and celebration as the original five-member lineup performs together one final time before the band enters its next chapter.

TEETH's Debut Album Vinyl Sells Out Within a Day as Reunion Fever Grows

More than three decades after its original release, TEETH's self-titled debut album continues to resonate with Filipino music fans. The band's first-ever vinyl edition sold out within a day of its release, highlighting the enduring appeal of one of the defining albums of the 1990s OPM rock scene.

Independent label Backspacer Records, which handled the album's pressing and distribution, confirmed that the limited-edition release quickly sold out after becoming available. The strong demand comes just weeks before TEETH embarks on its Year 33: TEETH The Reunion – Legacy Tour, rekindling interest in the band's music among longtime fans and a new generation of listeners.

Why did the vinyl release sell out so quickly?

The vinyl release combined nostalgia with collector appeal.

Originally released in 1995, TEETH's self-titled album became one of the landmark records of the Filipino alternative rock movement. Certified Double Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry for selling more than 80,000 copies, the album introduced songs that became staples of OPM rock radio and helped define an era of locally produced guitar-driven music.

For many collectors, the anniversary edition represented the first opportunity to own the album on vinyl.

Backspacer Records founder Robert Tuazon said the response reflected both the band's lasting influence and the renewed appreciation for physical music formats.

"The demand speaks to both the generational impact of this album, and the recognition of physical media as touchstones to the culture then and now."

What's included in the anniversary vinyl?

The release offers more than a remastered version of the album.

Collectors received:
  • A gatefold vinyl jacket
  • Newly reimagined cover artwork by Nix Puno
  • Previously unpublished photographs
  • Rare archival articles
  • Original handwritten lyrics from drummer Mike Dizon's collection
  • Liner notes by Diego Castillo
  • A newly remastered audio edition by mastering engineer Shinji Tanaka

These additions transform the release into both a music collectible and a historical archive celebrating one of Philippine rock's influential albums.

Why vinyl continues to thrive

While streaming dominates music consumption today, vinyl has experienced a global resurgence over the past decade.

Collectors and music enthusiasts often cite several reasons for buying records:
  • Higher perceived audio quality
  • Large-format album artwork
  • Limited-edition collectible value
  • Stronger emotional connection to artists
  • A more intentional listening experience

In the Philippines, independent record labels have increasingly reissued classic OPM albums on vinyl, reflecting growing demand from longtime fans and younger listeners discovering analog music for the first time.

The success of TEETH's release adds to this momentum, showing that classic Filipino albums remain highly sought after in physical formats.

A possible repress is already being discussed

Because the first pressing sold out so quickly, drummer Mike Dizon revealed that discussions are underway for another production run.

According to Dizon, the band is coordinating with Warner Music Philippines, which holds the rights to the album, to secure approval for a limited repress.

If approved, additional copies could become available before the band's reunion concerts begin, giving fans another opportunity to purchase the record.

Reunion tour celebrates 33 years of TEETH

The sold-out vinyl arrives alongside Year 33: TEETH The Reunion – Legacy Tour, which celebrates more than three decades of the band's music.

The five-city tour includes stops in Singapore, Manila, Cebu, Davao, and Tagum.

The Manila concert will take place on September 5, 2026, at SM North EDSA Skydome.

Produced by Minsan Studio, the show promises a full-length performance celebrating the band's enduring catalog and legacy within Philippine rock.

Manila ticket prices (pre-sale)

  • General Admission Standing ₱1,000
  • Seated ₱1,250
  • VIP Seated (with Soundcheck & Meet-and-Greet) ₱2,000

Pre-selling runs until August 20, 2026, with tickets available through SM Tickets and SM Ticket outlets nationwide.

The rapid sellout demonstrates that classic OPM continues to command strong support decades after its original release.

It also reflects a broader trend in the music industry, where vinyl has evolved from a nostalgic format into an important collectible for artists and fans alike. By pairing a carefully curated anniversary edition with a nationwide reunion tour, TEETH has reintroduced one of Philippine rock's defining albums to both longtime followers and younger audiences discovering it for the first time.

The immediate sellout of TEETH's debut vinyl underscores the band's lasting influence on Filipino music. As anticipation builds for the reunion tour, the possibility of a second pressing suggests demand remains high for both the band's recordings and live performances.

For many fans, the vinyl represents more than a collectible. It is a tangible reminder of an album that helped shape the sound of OPM rock and continues to inspire listeners more than 30 years after its release.

A lineup that showcases today's OPM scene

The festival brings together artists representing different corners of the local music industry.

The Philippine live entertainment industry has seen renewed momentum as audiences increasingly seek shared experiences beyond digital streaming.

9th Ortigas Art Festival Brings Free Art, Film, and Workshops to GH Mall

Friday, July 17, 2026

If you've been looking for a creative way to spend your day without spending on admission, the 9th Ortigas Art Festival is worth adding to your July itinerary. Returning from July 17 to 30, 2026, the festival transforms GH Mall into an open cultural space where visitors can enjoy contemporary art exhibitions, independent films, live performances, and hands-on workshops, all for free.

Now on its ninth year, the festival continues to make art more accessible to everyone, proving that meaningful cultural experiences don't have to be confined to traditional museums and galleries.

This Year's Theme: "Elevate"

The theme "Elevate" reflects how the Ortigas Art Festival has grown from a simple painting exhibition into one of Metro Manila's most anticipated celebrations of Filipino creativity.

Built around its long-standing advocacy of "Art for All," this year's edition invites visitors to experience creativity through multiple forms of artistic expression, from visual arts and immersive installations to cinema, music, dance, and interactive workshops.

According to Renato "Ato" Habulan, Lead Curator of the Ortigas Art Festival:

"The theme 'Elevate' is both a reflection and a call to action. It honors how far the festival has come over nine years, while challenging artists and audiences alike to rise higher, think deeper, and experience art in new and unexpected ways right here in their neighborhood mall."

Celebrating Filipino National Artists

One of the highlights of this year's festival is its tribute to some of the country's most influential cultural figures.

Visitors can explore exhibitions dedicated to:

  • National Artist for Literature Virgilio Almario, presented in collaboration with the University of the Philippines Press
  • National Artist for Theater Design Salvador Bernal, through a special exhibition mounted with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP)

These exhibitions offer a deeper appreciation of the artists whose work has helped shape Philippine literature, theater, and visual culture.

Spotlight on Junyee and Contemporary Filipino Artists

The festival also features acclaimed environmental sculptor Junyee, widely recognized as the "Father of Philippine Installation Art."

Known for transforming natural materials into large-scale installations, Junyee's work demonstrates how art can connect people with both culture and the environment.

Beyond the featured artist, visitors can also discover works from numerous galleries, artist collectives, and creative organizations, including:

  • Agos Studio
  • Eskinita Art Gallery
  • Linangan Art Residency
  • Thombayan Art Space
  • Art Circle Gallery
  • Historia Art Gallery
  • Nami Art Gallery
  • Collective Artists of Angono
  • Mindoro Artists Group
  • Pasig Art Club
  • Ortigas Foundation

Photography enthusiasts can also visit the Born in Film exhibit showcasing nostalgic and contemporary images from different parts of the Philippines.

Independent Filipino Films Take Center Stage

The 9th Ortigas Art Festival expands beyond visual arts with an impressive lineup of independent films presented in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

Moviegoers can enjoy screenings from:

  • Cinemartrys
  • Alipato at Muog
  • Lakbay Sine
  • Gawad Alternatibo
  • Cinemalaya

The lineup also includes the documentary That We May See, directed by Paul Morales, which revisits the story of Kaisahan on its 50th anniversary.

Works by acclaimed filmmaker Sari Dalena and award-winning short films such as I'm The Best Left Inside My Head by Elian Idoma and Pastil: Parehas Ra Ta'g Kan-on'g Ginakaon by Andrei Francis "Franky" C. Arrocena further enrich the festival's cinematic offerings.

Hands-On Workshops for Every Skill Level

For visitors who prefer creating art instead of simply viewing it, the festival offers a wide variety of free workshops throughout its run.

Participants can explore:

  • Acrylic pouring
  • Block printing
  • Textured plaster art
  • Paper cutting
  • Sketching
  • Storytelling
  • Copyright masterclasses by Born in Film

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced creative, the workshops encourage everyone to discover new artistic skills in a welcoming environment.

Supporting the Next Generation of Artists

This year also marks the launch of the Ortigas Art Grant, a new artist development initiative that extends support beyond the festival itself.

Selected artists will develop new works for the festival's 10th anniversary in 2027, with the chosen grantee receiving recognition and an opportunity for international exposure connected to Art Basel Hong Kong 2027.

The program reflects the festival's commitment to nurturing emerging Filipino artists while helping them reach wider audiences.

Why the Ortigas Art Festival Is Worth Visiting

What sets the Ortigas Art Festival apart is its accessibility.

Instead of limiting art appreciation to dedicated gallery spaces, the festival brings creativity into a familiar everyday setting where families, students, aspiring artists, and casual mallgoers can experience Philippine art together.

After nine successful editions, its "Art for All" mission continues to resonate by making culture more approachable and encouraging people to slow down, explore, and discover something unexpected.

Whether you're passionate about contemporary art, independent cinema, photography, or simply looking for an inspiring weekend activity, the 9th Ortigas Art Festival offers a meaningful cultural experience that's open to everyone.

lullaboy Brings Hotels & Heartbreaks Tour to Manila This July

Wednesday, July 15, 2026

Some albums are made to entertain. Others become companions through life's most difficult seasons.

For Singapore-based singer-songwriter lullaboy, music has always been more than catchy melodies or streaming milestones. It's a way of processing emotions, finding healing, and creating a safe space where listeners can feel understood. That heartfelt approach has earned him more than 200 million streams, a devoted fanbase across Southeast Asia, and a reputation for writing songs that resonate long after the music ends.

Now, the independent artist is bringing that message to Filipino fans as his Hotels & Heartbreaks Tour makes a stop in Manila on July 17 at Teatrino Promenade.

From Heartbreak to Healing Through Music

Behind the name lullaboy is a deeply personal story.

Born in the United States, raised in Singapore, and of Indonesian-Chinese heritage, the Berklee College of Music graduate chose the name by combining the words "lullaby" and "boy."

For him, songwriting became a form of comfort.

"‘Lullaboy’ comes from the words ‘lullaby’ and ‘boy,’ because writing songs was always a way for me to comfort my inner child," he shares. "Even today, I write songs about love, life, and everything in between, and I hope they can bring comfort to everybody's inner child."

That journey began after experiencing his first heartbreak, when writing songs became his way of making sense of emotions he struggled to express.

As more listeners discovered his music, the messages they sent transformed his perspective.

"As I released more songs, people started sending me messages saying they helped them through difficult seasons," he says. "That's when I realized sharing my own stories could make a positive impact on other people's lives. I don't just make music for fun anymore. I do it because I feel like it's my purpose."

Inside Hotels & Heartbreaks

The artist's latest project, Hotels & Heartbreaks, serves as both his third studio album and the creative inspiration behind his current nine-city Asia tour.

Rather than simply performing a collection of songs, lullaboy designed the experience to feel like an emotional journey where audiences are invited to "check in hurt and check out healed."

Its 12 interconnected tracks tell a continuous story of heartbreak, self-reflection, growth, and hope, accompanied by visual elements that bring the narrative to life.

The concept emerged during his travels while touring across Asia.

Despite staying in luxury hotels and achieving career milestones, he found himself questioning whether success alone could bring fulfillment.

"I was staying in all these beautiful hotels while touring," he recalls. "At the end of the day, I'd lie on my bed and ask myself, 'What's it all for?' You can achieve your biggest dreams, but if you don't have love or someone to share them with, it does not necessarily bring happiness."

That realization became the emotional foundation of the album.

For lullaboy, everyone eventually finds themselves in their own version of a "heartbreak hotel." The goal isn't to stay there forever but to emerge stronger on the other side.

As he puts it:

"This album is actually an album of hope."

Why Manila Holds a Special Place in His Heart

Although this marks one of his biggest tours to date, the Philippines has long held a special meaning for the artist.

Before performing here professionally, lullaboy first visited the country through missionary work as a young worship leader. Those experiences introduced him to Filipino hospitality long before he stepped onto a concert stage.

He remembers promising himself that he would someday return as an artist.

That dream became reality last year when he performed his first concert in Manila.

"I was blown away by how much warmth there was from the people," he says. "They sing really loud, they have beautiful voices. I've been waiting for this moment. I think the Lullafam knows how much I love the Philippines."

A Tour Across Asia

The Hotels & Heartbreaks Tour spans nine cities across Asia, with stops in:

  • Manila
  • Malaysia
  • Indonesia
  • Hong Kong
  • Taiwan
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Singapore

Each performance combines live music, storytelling, and immersive visuals that encourage audiences to reflect on their own experiences with love, loss, and healing.

For those discovering his music for the first time, lullaboy recommends listening in this order:

  • Someone Like You
  • Shortcut to Heaven
  • Heaven

Together, the three songs capture the emotional progression that defines the album.

More Than Just Another Concert

In an era where many live performances focus on spectacle, Hotels & Heartbreaks offers something more intimate.

It's a reminder that vulnerability can create connection, and that sharing personal stories often helps others feel less alone.

As lullaboy prepares to return to Manila, audiences can expect more than an evening of heartfelt music. They'll be invited into a space where heartbreak isn't treated as the end of the story but as the beginning of healing.

For anyone navigating change, loss, or new beginnings, Hotels & Heartbreaks offers a comforting message: even life's most difficult chapters can lead to hope.

Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino 2026 Celebrates OPM with 'Pinoy Coded'

July is once again taking center stage for Original Pilipino Music (OPM) as Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino (LMP) 2026 returns with a bigger, more inclusive celebration of Filipino artistry. This year's festivities promise more than just live performances, bringing together artists, music professionals, and fans through concerts, educational forums, and community-driven events across the country.

With the theme "Pinoy Coded," this year's celebration shines a spotlight on the stories, culture, and shared experiences that continue to shape the sound of Filipino music while embracing the industry's evolving landscape.

What Is Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino?

Established through Proclamation No. 933 in 2014, Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino has grown into the country's annual nationwide celebration dedicated to promoting and preserving Original Pilipino Music.

Over the past 12 years, the initiative has helped encourage greater appreciation for local music while creating opportunities for artists, songwriters, producers, and industry professionals to collaborate and connect with audiences.

Today, LMP continues to serve as an important platform for celebrating both legendary OPM icons and emerging talents shaping the future of Philippine music.

Why the Theme 'Pinoy Coded'

This year's theme reflects how music remains deeply connected to Filipino identity.

According to OPM President Ogie Alcasid, "Pinoy Coded" was inspired by current trends and the desire to connect with younger audiences while preserving the country's love for Filipino music and culture.

The campaign recognizes that OPM continues to evolve alongside new generations of listeners, proving that local music remains relevant across different genres, platforms, and communities.

A Nationwide Celebration of Filipino Music

Unlike previous editions concentrated mainly in Metro Manila, Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino 2026 expands its reach by collaborating with regional partners across the country.

In addition to events in the National Capital Region, this year's celebration includes partnerships with:

  • Nine Degrees North in Baguio
  • Palawan Songwriters' Community
  • Passion8 Events & Services in Iloilo

These collaborations reinforce LMP's goal of showcasing the diversity of Filipino music while giving more regional artists and audiences opportunities to participate.

As OPM Executive Director Gab Cabangon explained, expanding outside Metro Manila has always been part of the organization's vision to highlight the excellence and variety of Filipino musical talent nationwide.

OPM Spotlight Returns Throughout July

One of the festival's biggest highlights is the return of OPM Spotlight, a month-long concert series running from July 1 to 31.

The performances feature OPM member-artists presenting original compositions alongside fresh interpretations of beloved Filipino classics.

Concerts will be held at several venues, including:

  • Kubo at JT's Manukan, Quezon City
  • Burnt Edges branches in Makati
  • Beach House Bar & Grill, Marikina
  • What's Your Poison in Poblacion
  • Partner venues in Palawan and Iloilo

The series offers audiences a chance to discover new music while celebrating timeless OPM favorites.

Acoustic Performances Take Over Rockwell

Adding to this year's lineup is the LMP2026 Rockwell Series, scheduled from July 25 to 31 at Power Plant Mall in Makati.

The all-OPM acoustic showcase will feature 11 solo artists performing a mix of original songs and classic Filipino hits.

The collaboration continues Power Plant Mall's longstanding support for local music by bringing live performances into one of Metro Manila's premier lifestyle destinations.

Giving Emerging Artists the Spotlight

Aspiring musicians will also have the opportunity to perform during LMP2026: OPM-ic Open Mic Night on July 29 at Backdoor Maginhawa.

The event welcomes both OPM members and independent artists to perform original songs and OPM covers before fellow music lovers.

Proceeds from the event will help support future programs of the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-Aawit (OPM).

Learning Beyond the Stage

Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino is also investing in the future of the local music industry through the LMP2026 Music Talk Series on July 25 at Trinoma Cinema 6.

Designed for songwriters, producers, arrangers, students, and music professionals, the half-day forum will explore topics including:

  • Music production
  • Songwriting
  • Distribution platforms
  • Royalties
  • Creator support
  • Music industry research
  • Emerging trends

Cabangon noted that the forum aims to equip participants with practical knowledge while encouraging networking and collaboration among professionals navigating today's rapidly changing music landscape.

Celebrating the Future of OPM

Beyond concerts and educational programs, Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino continues to champion a larger mission: ensuring that Original Pilipino Music remains vibrant, relevant, and sustainable for future generations.

FILSCAP President Arturo "Nonoy Tan" Lui Pio emphasized that supporting Filipino music also means recognizing the creators behind every song and encouraging more Filipinos to appreciate the voices and stories that define the country's musical identity.

As LMP2026 unfolds throughout July, it serves as a reminder that Filipino music continues to evolve while remaining deeply rooted in the culture and creativity that make it uniquely our own.

Whether you're discovering emerging artists, singing along to timeless classics, or learning more about the local music industry, this year's celebration offers countless ways to experience the richness of OPM.

Century Tuna Superbods 2026 Reveals Top 40 Finalists in the New Superbod Era

Fitness is no longer defined by six-pack abs or perfectly sculpted physiques alone. Today, it's just as much about resilience, discipline, confidence, and living a healthier lifestyle. That evolving definition took center stage as Century Tuna Superbods 2026 officially introduced its Top 40 finalists, marking the beginning of what the brand calls the "Superbod Era."

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the country's longest-running fitness competition is embracing a more inclusive vision of wellness, proving that becoming a Superbod is about personal transformation as much as physical fitness.

Century Tuna Superbods Enters a New Era

Hundreds of aspiring contenders from across the Philippines joined this year's search, but only the most outstanding advanced to the highly anticipated Final Callback.

During the event, the selected semi-finalists showcased not only their physiques but also the personal stories, determination, and advocacy that define today's modern fitness journey.

Hosted by 2018 Century Tuna Superbods Grand Winner Maureen Montagne and radio personality KC Montero, the callback highlighted contestants whose experiences reflected perseverance, self-improvement, and holistic wellness rather than appearance alone.

The shift signals a new chapter for the competition, where strength of character, healthy living, and authenticity are celebrated alongside physical transformation.

Redefining What It Means to Be a Superbod

One of the biggest changes introduced in the Superbod Era is its broader and more inclusive definition of fitness.

This year's competition welcomed participants from diverse backgrounds, body types, professions, and life stages, reinforcing the message that wellness is a journey open to everyone.

Among this year's inspiring hopefuls were:

  • Contestants returning for their second, third, and even fourth attempt
  • Mothers rediscovering themselves through fitness and healthy living
  • Fathers balancing parenting with personal wellness goals
  • Families competing together, including parent-and-child tandems
  • Fitness coaches stepping onto a national stage
  • Professional models and celebrities pursuing their Superbods dream
  • Transgender men joining the competition for the first time
  • Older participants proving that healthy living has no age limit

The diverse lineup reflects how the country's fitness culture continues to evolve beyond traditional beauty standards.

A Competition That Celebrates Holistic Wellness

Rather than focusing solely on physical appearance, finalists were evaluated on several key qualities throughout the callback event.

The judging panel included executives from Century Pacific Food Inc., actress and fitness advocate Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and former Century Tuna Superbods Grand Winners Jules Aquino and Christelle Abello.

Their assessments reflected the competition's expanded vision of recognizing well-rounded individuals who inspire others to embrace healthier lifestyles.

Century Tuna Reinforces Its Wellness Mission

According to Carlo Endaya, Vice President, General Manager, and Group Business Head of Century Pacific Food Inc., the competition's mission remains focused on inspiring Filipinos to become the best versions of themselves.

"Every edition, the Superbods competition evolves, but our core mission remains unchanged—to inspire Filipinos to unlock the healthiest, most vibrant versions of themselves. As we stepped into the 'Superbod Era,' we celebrate health as a powerful life stage where passion, dedication, and holistic wellness came together."

He added that the stories shared during the Final Callback demonstrated how today's generation views health as a lifelong commitment rather than simply a fitness goal.

Meet the Century Tuna Superbods 2026 Finalists

After an intense selection process, 40 finalists earned their place in the competition's next stage.

Top 20 Male Finalists

Aaron Maniego, Ameer Ahid, Herschel Verne Sanchez, MJ Ordillano, Arvin Corpuz, Jay Gonzaga, Austin Dizon Cabatana, Nunoy van den Burgh, Jaco Benin, Paul John Galang, Christopher Ian El Jouni, Joselito Florendo, Prince De Guzman, Rafael Cruz Tan, Ken Batino, Dominic Camozzi, Kim Panique, RC Kashyap, Ricardo De Jesus, and Lorenzo Isip.

Top 20 Female Finalists

Alana Maris Montemayor, Janica Reloxe, Maan Marquez, Aleiah Torres, Jarly Verceles, Jasmine Rovelle Paguio, Anna Valencia Lakrini, Ashley Cayuca, Chucel Njigha, Ronalyn Lalimo, Jilliane Robillos, Rovin Mizuse, Diane Querrer, Donnabelle Erno, Kristen Bea H. Chua, Thalia Joaquin, Vienne Luna, Gee Canlas, Lou Yanong, and Gia Gonzales.

These finalists will move on to the grand finals, where they will compete for the coveted Century Tuna Superbods title.

More Than a Fitness Competition

Over the past two decades, Century Tuna Superbods has evolved from a physique competition into a platform that encourages healthier lifestyles, confidence, and self-improvement.

The launch of the Superbod Era reflects changing attitudes toward fitness, where mental resilience, inclusivity, consistency, and purpose are valued just as much as physical transformation.

As the countdown to the grand finale begins, this year's finalists represent a new generation of Filipinos proving that there is no single path, body type, or age that defines a healthy lifestyle. Instead, the Superbod journey is about becoming the strongest version of yourself, inside and out.
